HOUSE PLANS

We started talking with an architect in September 2016, and began designing the house in the summer of 2017.

The architects initial ideas were exciting, much more abstract, out of our price range and building skills. My mother Harriet was a huge help in simplifying the design and drawing out countless plans until everything was in its right place.

We always had in mind a more simple but well thought out design. Efficient use of space, privacy and minimal impact on the surrounding forest - much more complicated than we first thought!
